At the Tuscaloosa County Republican Party, we proudly unite as a formidable stronghold for conservative ideals and values within Alabama. As the preeminent Republican Party in our county, we hold deep reverence for our storied legacy and resolute dedication to championing the Republican vision throughout Tuscaloosa County.

Our Mission

Our mission is clear and resolute: to elect strong and capable Republicans to public office at all levels of government. By doing so, we aim to create positive and meaningful change for our community, guided by the principles of limited government, individual liberty, fiscal responsibility, and a strong national defense. We firmly believe that these values are the cornerstone of a prosperous and thriving Tuscaloosa County.

We believe that the strength of our party lies in the active participation and engagement of our members and supporters. Elections

During the Primary Election it is our job to oversee the Republican Primary in Tuscaloosa County.  We have not and will not endorse or support, in any way, a candidate in the Republican Primary. 

During the General Election, we will strongly support, the Republican Candidates nominated by the Voters of Tuscaloosa County. 

Our Leadership

Chairman 

Quinn Roe

Quinn Roe is an actively engaged community leader in Tuscaloosa, serving as the Salvation Army treasurer, former President of the Exchange Club, and involved in various charitable organizations. Quinn has been a Republican since the 2000 election, emphasizing their belief in conservative values and free-market capitalism. Quinn is also a member of the Highlands Tuscaloosa faith community and owns a 1966 Mustang, along with a 2 dogs and 2 cats.

Vice Chairman

Charles Brown

Charles Brown, a devoted Republican for 50 years, inspired by Reagan's first campaign, actively engages in the Tuscaloosa County Republican Party and is associated with the First Baptist Church, the John Birch Society, and Woodmen Life Chapter 1893. A graduate of two Baptist colleges in Mississippi, he admires Robert E. Lee and, in his lifetime, Donald Trump. Charles lives by the motto, "Information without action leads to frustration. Action without information leads to fanaticism."

Dovel Rock

Dovel Rock, a dedicated Republican for 60 years, actively participates in the Tuscaloosa community. Engaged in the local Republican Party for a decade, Dovel is a member of First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa. He firmly identifies as a Republican, valuing principles like States Rights and the constitution. Dovel's unique journey includes taking seven years to work his way through college. In his lifetime, he admires Ronald Reagan as his favorite historical figure and lives by the mantra, "If you are on time, you are late."

Secretary

Patrick Riley

Patrick Reilly, Tuscaloosa YR VP and Tuscaloosa GOP Secretary, is an active member of Gideons International, committed to the Republican cause since 16 and engaged in local politics for two years. He found inspiration in the 2020 Trump campaign, driven by his belief in conservative values and the constitution. Patrick, a member of Moundville Baptist Church. Frederick Douglass is his historical figure of choice, and he lives by the motto, "Dreams without goals are just dreams and they ultimately fuel disappointment."

Treasurer

John Dill

John Dill, husband to Bonnie, is an active member of the community through his involvement in Rotary and faithful attendance at First Baptist Church. A dedicated Republican for 15 years, John's political engagement mirrors his strong personal beliefs. He has spent the same amount of time contributing to the Tuscaloosa GOP, further solidifying his commitment to the party. In admiration of historical figures, John holds Paul "Bear" Bryant in high regard. His favorite quote, "Actions are better than words," reflects his belief in the power of tangible deeds.

Auxiliary Organizations in Tuscaloosa County

Tuscaloosa Republican Women

The Tuscaloosa Republican Women is a group for Republican Women of all ages. They meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:30pm at Hotel Capstone.

The Tuscaloosa County Young Republicans are the premier group for Young Republicans, 18-40, in Tuscaloosa County.
